"He said, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I had to be here, dealing with the things of my Father?” But they had no idea what he was talking about." Luke 2:49, 50 - the Message Bible.
Jesus, as a young lad, already knew what his purpose was on this earth. He was focused on that one task above all others. That single-minded focus kept him out of the drama, selfishness, and the self-interest that seems to plague the modern church today. He was too busy healing others to consider if his rights were violated. He was too busy performing miracles to see if he was being “heard”. He was too busy saving the lost to consider if his opinion mattered. He was too busy. Again, he was about his Father's business... seeking and saving the lost and dying.
What is the thing that God has put in our hearts? It is time to be about our Father's business. It is time to put away all the things that don't bring revival on this earth. It is time to focus on His plans. It is time.
Hearing, obeying and being. Now, more than ever, is the time for us to be about our Father's business.
