"For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” 1Samuel 17:6.
David was not intimidated by Goliath. David was going to have none of it. He was an Overcomer. Goliath was a circumstance that His God could deal with. You have to love this guy's faith. He will not be stepped on. Others may, but not him. He serves the God of Heaven and earth.
Our battle in this life is with the Goliath's. The Goliaths are circumstances, disease, depression, lack of money, lack of peace, addictions, the Devil, etc. Our battles are not with people. Doesn't the Bible say, "we do not wrestle with flesh and blood?"
It is time for us to stop trying to fix others. We are not Holy Spirit. We are being stepped on by the enemy because our focus is on the size of the giant we see. We are being stepped on because we are looking at the people slandering us or not acting in a "Godly" manner. It is past time for us to grow up into maturity. Even Jesus said, "Father forgive them because they don't know what they're doing."
My prayer for us today is that we stop looking at people and their shortcomings. That we start to look at the real Goliath. The enemy that sows discord amongst our ranks. To look at the real Goliath. The one who blinds us by looking at people so we can be stepped on.
