"Whosoever, therefore, shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:14. The Message Bible says, "Whoever becomes simple and elemental again, like this child, will rank high in God’s kingdom."
Having "arrived" in life is a lonely place. Where the thought of asking for help seems
to evade. We are mature. We are experienced. We are educated. We are past "having to learn that". We have seniority. We are self-sufficient.
This mindset, in the kingdom, is by far one of the most dangerous and polarizing positions. Jesus didn't model this. He was dependent. Dependent on His Father. Dependent on Holy Spirit. He humbled himself unto death. The death of the cross.
He was teachable. He never "arrived". He was humble. He considered people's hearts and not education. He was about His Father's business. Doing Father's business requires childlike faith. Childlike trust. Childlike expectations.
Father's business is our biggest priority. It is the reason we exist on this earth. It literally is the place of teachable humility. It is being a child again.
