How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. James 4:14 NLT. The King James version says, "our life is but a vapor." That really isn't very long.
Our Father wants us maximizing our time on this earth. He instructs us in a way that is so much higher than we could possibly think. He is actually wanting us to get as much reward as we possibly can. He is for us. He is not against us. He wants us changing our world. He put us here to do that. Didn't He call us an Overcomer?
I know the most effective thing we can do is to learn to love His children. To prefer our neighbor as ourself. To make sure that their vapor time on this earth is maximized as well by showing them our Father's love. By learning to let Jesus's example on this earth be our template.
What would happen if we take this vapor, our daily life, and devote it entirely to doing as He wants for us? For us to learn to not go our own way only, but devote our lives to a much higher, eternal calling. Giving Holy Spirit our lives. Finally trusting Him enough to know He has us, He holds us, and He is making the most of our time on this earth. He knows our time on this earth is a vapor too. He is trying to make the most of it. I believe we should let Him.
